We will start our journey from Cusco at 4:00 AM, with a hotel pick up and a comfortable drive towards Mollepata. The trip takes approximately 2 hours, passing through scenic valleys and mountain landscapes as the sun rises over the Andes. Upon arrival in Mollepata (2,900 m), we will enjoy a traditional Peruvian breakfast, giving you the energy needed for the adventure ahead. After breakfast, we will continue for about 45 minutes to Soraypampa (3,870 m), where you will see the majestic Salkantay (6,230 m) and Humantay (5,250 m) mountains for the first time. Our guide will give a briefing on the route and safety instructions before we begin the hike.

The hike to Humantay Lake is approximately 2 hours (3 km) with a moderate ascent and some steeper sections. Along the way, you will walk through rocky paths, Andean vegetation, and crystal clear streams, enjoying the fresh mountain air. Upon reaching Humantay Lake (4,200 m), you will be amazed by the stunning turquoise waters fed by glacial melt. Here, you can take photos, relax, and even walk around the lake to appreciate different perspectives. Our guide will perform a small coca leaf ritual in honor of Pachamama and the Apus, following Andean tradition.

3

After soaking in the beauty of the lake, we will descend for about 1.5 hours back to Soraypampa, continuing to admire the snowy peaks and Andean valleys along the way. Upon arrival at Sky Camp, our chef will prepare a delicious local lunch in a spectacular setting surrounded by mountains and fresh air. Following lunch, we will travel back to Cusco, allowing time to rest and reflect on the incredible experience.
