The guide will pick you up from your hotel or airbnb in Cuenca to travel 1:30 hour to the parish of Ingapirca where is located the most important archaeological complex of Ecuador.
Here, your guide will explain about the Cañari and Inca cultures traveling by sectors Cañari-Inca walls and appreciating the unique elliptical temple which was the Tahuantinsuyo. When the wheater is good people can enjoy a beautiful andean scenary.
After visiting Ingapirca, you will travel 1:30hours to Gualaceo and Chordeleg on the way you will have time for a delicious local lunch.
Your guide will take you to the canton of Chordeleg to visit jewelers and handicraft shops.The guide will give you free time to tour the central park.
You will visit the central market of Gualaceo to see the stalls selling typical food and products for daily consumption. They will also visit its historic center where its church and colonial-style houses stand out.
You will visit the Makanas workshop of the Jimenez family located 8 km from Gualaceo, here you will have a demonstration of the elaboration of shawls in the famous Ikat technique.
After visiting the textiles workshop, you will travel back to Cuenca city.
