The Red Beach of Santorini is one of the most famous and beautiful beaches arguably in all of Greece. It is named for the iron-rich rocks in the cliff's face towering over the beach above you as well as the red sand.
The very dark blue waters and the red ground combine into an unmatched vista, creating a "never seen before" landscape. The interesting and morphological nature of this particular area makes Red beach one of the most captivating and exciting beaches in the world.
We will sail there for the first hour of our trip with the possibility of swimming.
Mesa Pigadia is one of the isolated beaches of Santorini located around Akrotiri village, along with the famous Red and White beaches, It has black pebbles and beautiful crystal clear waters.
This beach is ideal for relaxation and to take a break from crowded beaches and villages. Like most of the beaches in the area, it is surrounded by beautiful cliffs.
A stop for snorkeling and swimming is also welcome here!
In the lovely, tranquil village of Akrotiri, you can find the well-known lighthouse located on the extreme southwest part of the island, 18 kilometers away from the capital of Santorini. It is considered one of the best and most beautiful lighthouses in the Cyclades. Attuned to the rest of the island, it is an admirable building with whitewashed walls standing on the edge of a high cliff right above the sea. It is, by all means, an idyllic setting.
We will pass by Akrotiri's lighthouse and the famous Black Mountain to admire the view and proceed through the rest of our trip
Palea & Nea Kameni, the two volcanos of Santorini are a pole of attraction for tourists for their healing hot springs. The yellow waters there contain a large amount of sulfur and are characterized for their therapeutic purposes.
Today, Agios Nikolaos, which is the small cove in Nea Kameni islet, is a true health source in which you may swim and relax since we will be making a stop there.
The volcanic eruption of the late 17th c. BC cut Therasia off from the rest of the landmass, showering it with billions of tons of magma that turned into pumice and ash, increasing its surface area to 9.3 square kilometers. At the same time, the caldera was formed – the sea ravine that links, but also separates, Therasia from its larger, cosmopolitan sister.
In Therasia we will be stopping for your lunch break visiting its admirable beaches and ports.
The beauty of Oia is unsurpassed. In fact, it is almost impossible to describe in words. Small white houses tier the hillside, interspersed by splashes of rich okra, deep fuchsia, cobalt blue, oyster pink, and earthy red. Smooth winding paths interconnect, interrupted now and then by a small church, and at every corner, there is something new to discover.
Oia is one of the most photographed places in Greece, if not the world. It has inspired artists, poets, and every visitor who visits Santorini. Oia is best known for breathtaking sunsets in which we will be stopping to admire its unique beauty from its hillside.
Fira is the capital of Santorini. It is a vision of pristine whitewashed buildings built into dramatic, rugged cliffs that slope into the sea. On the caldera side, you get one of the best views of the island and the activity level is enough to keep you entertained for hours.
We will be passing by to stare at this marvelous city.
Lastly, our final destination is the Vlichada port
It’s a marina filled with sailing yachts & fishing boats. At this location, you can also find a beach that follows a smooth descent covered with dark grey sand. It is also worthy to note that there are very peculiar rock formations behind & along the beach and an old factory! This factory is no longer in use and its brick structure is very pleasant to look at.
