Detailed itinerary

1

Explore Osaka’s rich culinary culture with a local host who knows the city’s food scene inside and out. This is more than a food tour—it’s a City Unscripted experience: personalized, immersive, and bursting with flavor. Alongside your host, you’ll wander through vibrant markets, slip into cozy izakayas, and taste your way across family-run food stalls—learning, laughing, and connecting with the soul of the city.

Before your adventure begins, you’ll receive a short online questionnaire so we can design a food journey tailored to your tastes—whether you're craving crispy takoyaki, rare wagyu, or traditional sweets from a quiet backstreet confectioner. Here are just a few highlights to whet your appetite:

2

Begin your journey at this bustling covered market, lovingly known as “Osaka’s Kitchen.” Sample juicy grilled scallops, savory croquettes, and seasonal fruits as your host shares insights into local ingredients and culinary customs.

3

Wander beneath neon lights and alongside the Dotonbori Canal. Taste Osaka’s iconic takoyaki (octopus balls) or okonomiyaki (savory pancakes), and discover how this lively district shaped the city's food scene.

4

Tucked behind Dotonbori’s hustle, this narrow cobblestone lane offers a glimpse into old-world Osaka. Visit a peaceful moss-covered temple, then duck into a historic izakaya for grilled skewers and a glass of sake.

5

Stroll through this buzzing covered arcade where street food stalls are nestled among fashion boutiques. Your host might suggest a sweet stop for matcha desserts or kushikatsu—Osaka’s beloved deep-fried skewers.

6

Step back in time in this nostalgic neighborhood. Enjoy deep-fried skewers in a retro eatery, then sip local beer beneath the glow of Tsutenkaku Tower. Your host will share stories of Osaka’s Showa-era charm.
