The seemingly endless rows of cherry trees (more than 5000) can be viewed from a pleasant riverside promenade. There are also areas with a lot of space for picnics.
The bridge to enter the castle will give you views on the Cherry Blossoms reflection dancing in the water. Over 4000 cherry trees are planted on the grounds of the park, a particularly nice place for a picnic.
Pass by "Osaka Mint Bureau" where can enjoy more than 100 varieties of sakura trees. The gates of the garden are opened to the public for one week in mid-April.
The first full-fledged Buddhist temple in Japan to enshrine the Four Heavenly Kings. The garden (entrance fees required) is filled with about 50 cherry trees in full bloom between the end of March-beginning of April.
