You can choose to swing by the Fishermen's Bastion. We recommend visiting this attraction in your own time if you wish and your host can help you to book tickets and give you more recommendations on things to do and see during your stay. There are many classical music and jazz concerts, opera, etc that run all year round and you can ask your host to help you find the best ones and get these booked.

Once in Pest, we'd recommend to check out briefly the area around the Parliament where you can learn about modern Hungarian history. You can also ask your host to help you to book a guided tour of the palace for one of the following days, if you're interested in seeing the lavishly decorated rooms.
