Meet your lovely local guide and driver at your Shanghai hotel lobby at 1:00 pm or your preferrred departure time, then head up to non-tourist Fengjing water town (about 1.2-hour driving time) for its wonderful day view, followed by a visit to Xitang, the most beautiful water town in the evening with amazing sunset, lights on the traditional houses, bridges and canals.
Upon arrival, stroll along the antithetic streets in Fengjing, then pay a visit to traditional Chinese wedding museum and the only "People's commune" exists in China built in Culture Revolution period. You will take a relaxing boat along one of its many glittering water ways to see the locals' cooking, washing at homes on banks.
Then, head up to another beautiful Xitang water town where to see how beautiful and different the water town looks in the evening. Your tasty dinner is served in a riverside restaurant, and you are encouraged to try sticky rice cake, river shrimp dumplings, sugar coated water chestnut, smoked fish or other local dishes based on your preferences.
