The tour is very varied. The participants get a lot of information about the country, people, history, animals and plants. The landscapes and views are fantastically beautiful and very varied and there are always nice people on the road with us.
On the drive (about 50 minutes) to the wild horses we pass the Nuraghe Piscu. If time permits and all participants agree, we will stop here for a short tour.
We drive to the fantastic volcanic plateau to watch the fantastic wild horses. We leave the car near the large basalt lake and take a relaxing walk. You will not only experience breathtaking landscapes, beautiful cork forests, exotic plants and extraordinary scents, but also
filled with lots of information about the country, people, lifestyle, nature, wildlife and history.
We visit a Stone-Copper Age burial site dating from 3800-3200 BC. was carved into the rock.
On the way back (approx. 40 min) to Cagliari we drive through the village of Turri, known for ancient olive trees and saffron production.
We stop in Villamar's piazza for a cappuccino. The piazza is decorated with great murals that tell of the history of Sardinia and important Sardinians.
