Stretching 9.5 km long and 1.5 km wide, its 30 km of indented coastline boasts crystal-clear, bluish-green waters and a mix of rocky beaches and sandy coves. Home to 530 plant species, including 20 types of orchids, Kamenjak remains untouched by development, offering a true natural escape.
Dinosaur footprints on Kamenjak were discovered in the rock slabs near Pinizule Bay. These ancient prints, believed to be over 100 million years old, offer a fascinating glimpse into the past and provide evidence of the dinosaurs that once roamed this area. They are a unique natural wonder and an exciting attraction for visitors to the southernmost tip of Istria.
Punta Kamenjak is the southernmost point of Istria, located within the Kamenjak Nature Park. Known for its rugged coastline, crystal-clear waters, and hidden coves, it offers spectacular views of the Adriatic and nearby islands, making it a popular spot for nature lovers and those seeking tranquility.
