Mechanization was still waiting to happen, harvest was carried out by whole families, pressing grapes with their very feet inside huge wooden vats.

A visit to a winery with wine tasting and typical local lunch is included; depending on the season guests can pick grapes or simply press grapes previously provided by our company. Discover these amazing ancient traditions and get a genuine product. The experience includes also a free visit to Castellina in Chianti, one of the iconic villages part of the Chianti Classico area, walking around an old hamlet rich in history, culture and local craft artisan shops.

In this authentic family farm, Silvia (the owner) will prepare for you an exquisite lunch while your guide will show you the farm. You will learn the history of the cellar that date back to the 1825 and how they make wine, extra virgin olive oil and honey. During lunch you will taste 4 wines, grappa and their amazing production of extra virgin olive oil all pared with home made pasta, bruschettas, cold cuts and last but not least home made biscotti.
