2

Mariaplaats is a square in the Dutch city of Utrecht, named after the vanished Maria Church. Around it was a large square, of which the parts to the north and east of the former church still exist, together forming current-day Mariaplaats.

3

The St. Gertrude's Cathedral in the Dutch city of Utrecht is the main church of the Old Catholic Church, serving as the seat of the Old Catholic Archbishop. It is located at Willemsplantsoen. The building, constructed between 1912 and 1914 according to the design by E.G. Wentink Jr., is in the Neo-Romanesque style.

Stop 4

The museum possesses a collection of automatically playing musical instruments, most of which are still operational and capable of producing music. The collection includes items such as musical boxes, clocks with musical mechanisms, (automatic) pianos, orchestrions, barrel organs (or, in old Dutch, pierementen), dance organs, fairground organs, and a tower clock with a carillon.

5

The Oudegracht is the most famous canal in Utrecht. Extending for about two kilometers, this canal can be seen as the connecting piece between the Kromme Rijn and the Vecht, cutting through the entire inner city from south to north.

6

The Regulierencloister was founded between 1248 and 1267, situated between the Oudegracht and the Springweg, by the Zakbroeders. This mendicant order was dissolved during the Second Council of Lyon in 1274, after which the Regular Canons of St. Augustine took over the monastery in 1292.

7
Stop 7

The Nijntje Museum (formerly Dick Bruna House) is a museum in Utrecht where toddlers and preschoolers can explore their world together with Nijntje and her friends. The museum is part of Utrecht's Central Museum.

8

Museum Catharijneconvent is a national museum for religious art in Utrecht. The museum is located in the former monastery, Catharijneconvent, which was presumably dedicated to Catherine of Alexandria as early as the 12th century. The monastery building is attached to the Sint-Catharina Cathedral. The museum originated from various collections.

9

The Dom Tower of Utrecht (Historical St. Martin's Cathedral) is a distinctive Gothic church in the heart of Utrecht. Construction began in 1254 as a continuation of the Romanesque cathedral of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Utrecht, dedicated to St. Martin. Since 1580, the church has been Protestant. The Dom Tower, standing at 112.32 meters, is the tallest church tower in the Netherlands and the tallest building in Utrecht.
