About this experience
Unmask the beauty of contemporary Costa Rican life on this walking tour of San Jose and Escazu Mountains. Led by an expert local guide, you'll navigate forest trails, cross the winding river, and be rewarded with the beautiful sight and sound of a pristine waterfall. It's the perfect way to create lasting memories just minutes from home.
After spending time admiring the surroundings and enjoying taking photos we will continue to hike down the hill to Bebedero, where we have to taste chicha, a traditional local drink that has been enjoyed for hundreds of years. Our beverage will also prepare us for one of the coolest local traditions: Costa Rican masks and masquerade, and we’re taking you straight to the legends. We’ll pay a visit to a legendary local master’s house, where three generations of the same family have been making some of the country’s most beautiful masks for celebrations and special holidays. Here we’ll be enjoy a deliciuos lunch.

After enjoying the town of the witches, we will continue towards to San Antonio, up the mountain with incredible views of the city, where we will explore and visit the house of the Montoya family, who for more than 80 years, manufacture the legendary giant mask. We will have the opportunity to learn and even to dance.
