Stop 1

The tour begins with a visit to Riga Panorama Observation deck at the so-called Stalin’s Birthday Cake building – one of few sites left from the Soviet times heritage in Riga. From here your guide will give you an overview of the city and its history, pointing out places of interest – those included in this tour and others you might want to visit separately.

Stop 2

Back on the ground, let’s have a short stroll through one of Riga’s district and creative neighborhood Spikeri. The track will lead us through Riga Central Market, which is one of the oldest markets in Europe. Here one can get closer to Riga’s everyday life and taste some seasonal products sold here.
Afterwards we’ll walk to the major historical and cultural attractions in Old Riga, such as Riga Dome Cathedral, St. Peter’s Church and Blackhead’s house. There is also plenty of time to see the Latvia National Opera, Parliament House and a medieval building complex “Three Brothers”.
Don’t be too shy to ask your guide to point out the most authentic souvenir shops in Old Town or its surrounding.

Riga city is well known for its Art Nouveau heritage. That’s why the tour will also lead you into this stunning area with excellent examples of Art Nouveau architecture where every building has its own fascinating story to tell.
