About this experience

During this arrangement the group will travel through Bosnia and Herzegovina and get to know its culture through the stories of experienced guides, you will feel the untouched nature and finally you will become fond of its friendly hosts and people.

We will visit Olympic mountains Igman and Bjelašnica, which provide you with an unforgettable landscape and surprisingly clean air. Further, there is Lukomir, the last Bosnian mountain-village on Bjelašnica at 1495 m, making it the highest inhabited place in B&H.

Rafting is an unforgettable adventure on the green beauty the river Neretva, whose water is drinkable during the entire rafting tour. The mountain-biking tour from Sarajevo to Mostar was included in the Top 10 must-visit destinations by the

National Geographic magazine. Canyoning on the river Rakitnica, the second deepest canyon in Europe, is the challenge of a lifetime for every tourist, similar to the hiking on the Herzegovinian Himalaya-mountain Prenj.

Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and Sarajevo city tour

Arrival, accomodation and lunch at Baščaršija (Old Town city center).

After lunch, visit to the Old Town center from the 15th century (Baščaršija, Gazi Husref-bey's Mosque, Gazi-Husref-bey's bezistan, Sebilj, City Hall, Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, Latin bridge – Princip's bridge, Avaz Tower).

Dinner and overnight stay in Sarajevo.

Day 2: Hiking tour (Umoljani – Obalj - Lukomir)

After breakfast, departure to Olympic mountain Bjelašnica and trip to village Umoljani. Start of the hiking tour across the mountain Obalj to the highest B&H village, Lukomir.

Through the entire tour you will see beautiful landscapes of mountains Bjelašnica and Visočica. Further we will descend to the village Lukomir, which is recognized as an official cultural landscape and national heritage site of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The hiking tour is medium intensity and it lasts for 4 hours, depending on the tempo. Dinner and overnight stay are organized in our agency's Farmville in Lukomir.

Day 3: Mountain-biking tour (Lukomir – Visočica - Boračko lake)

After breakfast, we will start the MTB tour on a macadam road over the Studeni creek to the village Umoljani. After a short break, we continue the tour via asphalt path over Visočica mountain to Boračko lake, the mountain-eye of Herzegovina. Lunch is organized at the restaurant by the Neretva river. The tour lasts 7 hours, depending on the tempo of the ride. Overnight stay and dinner at Boračko lake.

Day 4: Rafting on the river Neretva (crystal-clear and drinkable river)

After breakfast, participants depart to our rafting base to prepare for the tour and then transport to the starting position, Glavatičevo. Rafting float on the river Neretva with breaks for taking photos and swimming. After the Small canyon, break for BBQ lunch (different kinds of grilled meat and vegetables). The length of the rafting tour is 23 km and it lasts 5 hours. All necessary rafting equipment is provided (boat, paddle, neoprene suit, life jacket, shoes and helmet). Participants need to provide their own swimsuits, as well as additional clothes for change.

Dinner and overnight stay in Konjic.

Day 5: Hiking tour (Prenj mountain – Herzegovinian Himalayas)

After breakfast, we will go to the starting point – valley Tisovica. From Tisovica, our path leads us through the coniferous forest to the mountain house Vrutak. From there, a marked path leads uphill towards the Prenj peaks Otiš and Zelena Glava, and further leads to the saddle that connects these peaks. Prenj is considered as one of the most attractive mountains in B&H, whose peaks are exciting for hikers who enjoy the enchantment of untouched nature.

Hiking tour is medium intensity. The tour lasts for 5 hours, depending on the tempo.

Day 6: Canyoning on the Rakitnica river (the second deepest canyon in Europe)

After breakfast, we will go to the starting position for the tour – Dubočani. Further, we descend into the spectacular canyon of Rakitnica. During the whole activity, we use swimming, diving, climbing, floating, as well as jumping into certain parts of the canyon, in order to successfully overcome the herds that Rakitnica challenges us with. Small beaches along the canyon will enable us to have small breaks for meals and taking photos. The tour lasts about 7 hours, depending on the number of participants and the tempo of movement. Canyoning is considered to be the perfect adventure activity and a real challenge for everyone who wants to feel the rush of real adrenaline.

Day 7: Herzegovina biking tour (Mostar - Kravice waterfalls – Počitelj – Blagaj - Mostar)

Breakfast. We will start the biking tour to Kravice Waterfalls, a natural phenomenon, where we will have lunch and some free time for taking photos.

On our way back, we will visit the medieval ottoman city of Počitelj, placed on the left bank of Neretva. Arrival to Blagaj, the medieval town located on the Buna river. Departure to Mostar, where we will visit the city's cultural-historical monuments, including: the Old Bridge (UNESCO), Old Town (Kujundžiluk), Kriva ćuprija, Karađoz-bey's mosque.

Dinner and overnight stay in Mostar.

Day 8: Departure

After breakfast, guests depart via organized transport to the International Airport in Sarajevo.
