Ancient Maya culture on the island of Cozumel
The "Land of the Swallows" is one of the most visited islands in Mexico with a mysterious history and distinctive culture. On the tour, I will talk about its main symbol - the Mayan goddess of female energy and fertility, Ish Chel. You will learn about the pilgrimage that girls in the distant past made by canoe, overcoming a distance of 26 kilometers. And also about how today the tradition has been transformed into the annual “Sacred Mayan Passage” voyage.

In the ancient city of San Gervasio, you will see the ruins of the temple complex and hear about the role of the Ix Chel cult in Mayan mythology.

In the cozy capital of San Miguel, walk among the colorful houses, learn about the daily life of the locals and taste the most delicious ice cream on the island. And also visit the museum, where I will present you with exhibitions dedicated to the nature and history of Cozumel.
