Your guide will pick you up at your accommodation in Cuzco around 4:00 am with a minibus and you will go to Ollantaytambo train station.
Then, you will take the 6:10 am train that will take you to Aguas Calientes. Also known as Machu Picchu village.
The ride takes about an hour and a half, circulating through spectacular scenery with views of snow-capped mountains, the Vilcanota River and the semi-tropical and high jungle zone.
Once in Aguas Calientes, you will take the bus that will take you to the archaeological park of Machu Picchu, which you will access from the upper area. The professional guide will tell you the history and secrets of this magical place in a two-hour guided tour.
After the guided tour, you will have free time until 1:00 p.m. to explore the citadel on your own.
We will return from Machu Picchu to the town of Aguas Calientes, where you can have lunch in one of its restaurants before taking the train back to Ollantaytambo.
At the Ollantaytambo train station, a minibus will be waiting to take you back to Cuzco. We will be in the city between 20:30 and 22:00.
The exact time of arrival in Cuzco may vary depending on train schedules and will be indicated in your reservation confirmation.
