Archeological past of Amasra
Yörük Village, right next to Safranbolu, is a charming village filled with historical Ottoman mansions as if it were a blessing. This village, also called tiny Safranbolu, is a center of attraction for travelers with its narrow streets, courtyards hidden behind wooden fences and mansions with bay windows.
Thanks to all these features, Safranbolu Yörük Village, which was declared as a protected area in 1997 and accepted as one of the most beautiful villages in Turkey, got its name from the Yörük Turkmens, who settled in this region many years ago, as you can imagine.
