About this experience

An extraordinary tour of the wine history of Abruzzo. Wine tasting and appetizers. The winery is one of the oldest in Abruzzo. Born in the 1897 is now located in Nocciano, between the Gran Sasso and the Majella mountains. The winery offers an astonishing tour through the wine life in Abruzzo, especially the visit of the underground tunnels where hundred thousands bottles are stored for ageing and the ethno-antropologic museum collecting items related to the viticultural and peasant tradition in Abruzzo. The winery can be reached only by car.
Tasting of 4 wines and other typical products follows the tour.

The visit follows the route of the entire vinification process, from the weighting machine, trough the stemmer-crushers, the pressing and fermentation area.

The tour continues through the maturation, in concrete and oak barrels, and the bottling zone, then in the undergrounds tunnels for ageing. The tour ends with a collection of historical vintages and the museum of wine.
