Centuries after the beginning of sugar production, in the Captaincy of Pernambuco, Usina Santa Terezinha, after being the largest sugar producer in the country in the 1950s, ended its activities in 1998.

Almost two decades later, in a movement of disruption with the past, in the production of sugar, the Usina implants its artistic-botanical park, with more than 40 works spread over 33 hectares, giving a new form of environmental, economic and cultural occupation for the region, starting now to produce Art.

Detailed itinerary

Upon arrival, we will visit the industrial park, deactivated, of Usina Santa Terezinha, a local guide will tell the story of the Usina that was the largest producer of sugar and alcohol in Brazil in the 1950s and how it became Usina de Arte

Soon after, we will take a guided tour of the Artistic-Botanical Garden of the Usina de Arte, with more than 40 works, covering 33 hectares.
