Centuries after the beginning of sugar production, in the Captaincy of Pernambuco, Usina Santa Terezinha, after being the largest sugar producer in the country in the 1950s, ended its activities in 1998.
Almost two decades later, in a movement of disruption with the past, in the production of sugar, the Usina implants its artistic-botanical park, with more than 40 works spread over 33 hectares, giving a new form of environmental, economic and cultural occupation for the region, starting now to produce Art.
