We’ll begin with a convenient hotel pick-up before heading to Quito’s UNESCO-listed historic center. Our guide will lead you to some of the city's most remarkable landmarks, starting with the majestic Basilica of the National Vow. Stroll down charming colonial streets to the main square, where you’ll see the Presidential Palace, the Cathedral, and the Bishop’s Palace. Then, visit the stunning La Compañía Church, a true jewel of Latin America, and conclude with the vibrant atmosphere of San Francisco Plaza—a can’t-miss stop on this unforgettable journey.
Next, we’ll head to *El Panecillo*, one of Quito’s best viewpoints. From this iconic hilltop, you’ll enjoy stunning views of the city’s historic center with its beautiful churches and colonial architecture, as well as the surrounding mountains. On clear days, you may even catch sight of the magnificent Cotopaxi or Pichincha volcanoes—adding an unforgettable touch to your tour.
In the afternoon, we’ll visit the fascinating Intiñan Museum at Mitad del Mundo, a must-see when visiting Quito. Located on the actual Equator line, this museum blends culture and science with interactive exhibits that celebrate Ecuador's four diverse regions. Here, you’ll learn about traditional Amazonian tribes, and the ancient uses of the Equator, and take part in fun experiments, like balancing an egg on a nail or observing the Coriolis effect. Capture memorable photos as you stand with one foot in each hemisphere before we return to the hotel.
