About this experience

Experience an unforgettable boat trip in Ivalo River and Lake Inari. Your guides are a local couple who lives on a island. Visit local home for BBQ-lunch or dinner on an island and get a glimpse of local lifestyle.

You can choose if you wish to have BBQ outside in terrace or in Lappish teepee by open fire. Try fishing in traditional Finnish way, with hook, line and worm. This is fun for whole family, also for children.

For group size of 2-4 persons your boat will be 6 meter long "Meri-Palta" boat, registered for 5 person.

For group size 5-8 person boat will be 9 meter long Minor 28, there is also inside cabin. Minor is registered for 10 person.

If you wish to have Minor boat for 4 person or less, please book the tour for 5 person.

Detailed itinerary

Tour starts with picturesque scenery of Koppelo village by the river. You will get to experience wonderful nature of Ivalo River delta area and famous Lake Inari. The area is rich in birdlife.

We will drive about 10 kilometers to the lake trough the river. On the way you will see how the river changes to the lake. You will see beautifull scenery of the wilderness lake.

You will have possibility to try to catch a fish in traditional finnish way, with hook, line and a worm. Its great fun also for children as it is easy way to catch a fish. There is good possibility to catch a perch which is the national fish of finland, or a pike. For this type of fishing you dont need a licence.

Owners of this small family company lives on a small island, you will visit the island in this tour. You will have BBQ outside in terrace or in lappish teepee by open fire, as you wish.
