About this experience

Experience small group snowmobile safari with small local family company. Tour is made in Ivalo River and famous Lake Inari in beautifull surroundings.

Your local experienced guide will teach you how to drive snowmobile and will give you safety instructions. Trail distance in total about 25-30 km.

Owners of family company Tina and Tapio are living in a small island. While you visit the island, you get to see glimpse of authentic lappish lifestyle outside tourist areas.

You will enjoy home made lunch in lappish teepee by open fire. Lunch will be made of local fish or reindeer, also vegetarian option by request .

You will meet our friendly reindeers and have possibility to feed them and take photos. Local guide will tell you about reindeers and life in lapland. Please notice this is not a reindeer farm, there is usually 2-3 reindeers in the island.

This tour is not suitable for small children, age limit is 10 years.

Detailed itinerary

You will get warm thermal clothing at our office.

We will drive 10 minutes by minibuss to Koppelo village where the snowmobiles are. It is great place to start the tour to the wilderness.
You will get driving and safety instructions before the tour starts.
On the tour you will visit our small island where we live. There we have lappish teepee and you will meet our friendly reindeers.
Lunch will be served by open fire in teepee.

The driver of a snowmobile has to be at least 18 years old and hold a driver license that is valid in Finland (A1,T, A or B category)
Take your driving license with you on the snowmobile safari.
Children will be seated in a sledge behind the guide's snowmobile. Children over 140 cm in height are allowed to sit on the snowmobile behind an adult, when paying the adult price.
Self-liability fee: In case of accident own risk is max. 700eur / snowmobile
If you book shared snowmobiles and your group has odd number ( 1, 3, 5 ), one of you will travel as a passanger in our guides snowmobile or in the sleigh. You can swap places, so you all can drive. Single driving is available as supplement.
