Detailed itinerary

1
Stop 1

Ephesus is the best preserved classical city in the Mediterranean and perhaps the best place in the world to feel what life was like in Roman times. Walk through its surprisingly well-preserved marble streets, flanked by columns, temples and fountains.

Discover fascinating ancient structures such as the Temple of Hadrian, the impressive façade of the Library of Celsus and the Grand Theatre. Your expert guide will provide you with information on the many notable sites you will encounter during the day.

2
Stop 2

The House of the Virgin Mary is located just beyond Ephesus. According to Christian tradition, Mary was taken there by the Apostle John after the Resurrection of Christ and lived her last days in this house. A small chapel dedicated to Saint Mary was discovered when the ruins of the house were found. The Vatican has recognized the place as the last resting place of the Virgin.

3
Stop 3

We will continue to St. John's Basilica, where the Apostle John died and was buried after completing his missions in Anatolia. Then, we will visit the Temple of Artemis (Diana), which was one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.

4
Stop 4

Visit the 14th century Isa Bey Mosque, built by the first Muslim family to settle in Western Anatolia. You will gain valuable information about the architecture of the early Islamic period.
