About this experience

Taiko is a traditional musical instrument that anyone can enjoy right away. The experience is suitable for all ages and levels of ability,

The experience of practicing together, playing one song, and becoming one with others is one of the most valuable experiences in Japan.

This studio’s drums are made in the traditional way, by hollowing them out of a large single tree, and they are very rare. You can enjoy real Japanese drums and appreciate the performances of professional musicians, which are truly remarkable.

Since ancient times, Taiko has been deeply connected to the lives of the Japanese people. Through Taiko, you can learn about Japanese culture and history, as well as the spirituality of the Japanese people.

Finally Enjoy Taiko with a happi coat, taraditional Japanese Kimono and hachimaki, traditional headband.

The Taiko studio is located between Osaka and Kyoto, with JR Takatsuki Station being the nearest station, approximately a 15-minute train ride from both cities.

Please be at the meeting place in start time. Please note that due to the program, if you are late for the start time, you will not be able to participate even if you call us.

It takes about 15 minutes by JR train from Osaka Station to Takatsuki Station, which is the nearest station to the studio. However, if you take a taxi directly from Osaka, it will take more than an hour and the taxi fare will be quite expensive. With traffic jams, it could take even longer, so we do not recommend taking a taxi directly from Osaka to the studio.

The guide have to pick up guests who chose the Kyoto Station option and arrive at Takatsukistation at the start time. In case the train carrying the guide is delayed, the guide may arrive after the start time. Please wait a little longer.

Attention!! There are two Takatsuki Stations: one on the JR Line and one on the Hankyu Line. The meeting place is JR Takatsuki Station, not Hankyu Takatsuki Station.
