Meet the tour guide at your hotel inside Cairo or Giza for pick-up. Start the trip towards Alexandria (220 KM ~ 150 minutes).

Visit the Catacombs of Kom El-Shokafa an underground necropolis, built by the Greeks and the Romans during the last century BC and the 1st century AD. The necropolis is of three levels all are found under the ground, some of the sarcophaguses are carved. Visit Pompey's Pillar, a triumphal column built at the 3rd century AD, to honor the name of the Roman Emperor Augustus Diocletian. Later on, a temple dedicated to the local God Serapis have been built around the area. We can still see the remains of this temple all around the area. Visit Qaitbay Citadel, built by the Sultan Qaitbay at the 15th century AD, to protect the Egyptian country and the Muslim Mamluk ruling dynasty from the Ottoman threaten. The Citadel was built at the same place of Alexandria famous Lighthouse. The citadel have been totally restored, it is now shown in a very good condition.
