Enjoy a moonlight stroll through the cobbled streets of Rome and see some of the most beautiful fountains and squares lit up brilliantly. You will leave this tour not wanting to leave Rome.
The Eternal City at night is full of gorgeous views, delicious aromas and soft music floating through the air, creating a romantic and magical feel to the city. The historic center is full of incredible monuments, boldly lit and a cooler temperature making the evening a perfect time to explore the city.
This tour begins in Piazza di Spagna at the foot of the world renowned Spanish Steps. Your guide will meet you here and after giving you a brief history of the steps you will get a chance to admire the surrounding Quartiere Inglese (English Quarter), the beautiful neighborhood around the steps that has been the center of tourism in Rome for hundreds of years and has seen everyone from Ernest Hemingway to Kim Kardashian stroll the streets and sip coffee at cafes.
Soon, we are off to the Trevi fountain passing a few hidden treasures along the way. The fountain is possibly the most famous in the world and the modern lighting illuminating it from under the water lends the statues an almost other worldly view leaving many saying that it is actually better to visit after dark. Your guide will be sure to leave time for everyone to toss in their coins as is the tradition in Rome, and then we’re off to the Pantheon.
The Pantheon was completed in the early second century and it remains one of the most impressive archaeological achievements of all time, and remains in use as a church today
After marvelling at the Pantheon, we will walk to Piazza Navona where elegant fountains meet stately palaces offering one of the most striking views in the city. In the summertime artists can be found selling their works at night while in December it holds the Christmas night market where you can buy traditional Italian gifts and sweets.
Your tour guide will meet you in Piazza di Spagna outside, in front of the Keats Shelley House at the bottom of the steps. Your guide will be holding a Roman Vacations sign with our orange lion logo.
