About this experience

Soak up the beauty of Hobart from the summit of Mount Wellington on this morning tour. Enjoy panoramic views out towards Hobart and the Derwent River.

Our specially designed kunanyi/Mt Wellington Ultimate Experience will provide you with the best possible experience on the Mountain. On a clear day the views are stunning. In winter perhaps you will be playing in the snow.

On this fully escorted tour we pass through various eco systems and experience an alpine environment. Join our exclusive escorted tour of the Observatory, the exhibition Gardens and the enjoy the opportunity to take in the views from the Western Wilderness viewing deck to see one of the last true wilderness areas on the planet.

On the descent from the mountain, we have brief stop outside the Cascade Gardens and view the remains of the Female Convict prison - The Female Factory.

Stop 1

Witness amazing views of Hobart and surrounds from the summit. On our descent from the mountain enjoy a short easy walk around the amazing Exhibition Gardens at the midway point "The Springs" There's also time to purchase a hot drink.

Stop 2

View the exterior of Australia’s most significant historical sites for women, the Female Factory was the female equivalent of Port Arthur and was used to hold both women and children throughout the 1820’s. It was a terrible place with only the most basic of facilities. Some ruins of the original building and walls still exist. Your driver guide will provide a brief history of this fascinating place.

Join our escorted short tour of the Observatory on the summit of Mt Wellington and a self guided tour to the Western Wilderness Lookout to view one of the last true wilderness areas on the planet!

Visit one of Hobart City's classic gardens The Cascade Gardens which lies against the Hobart Rivulet near the historic Cascade Brewery.
