Detailed itinerary

1

As soon as we pick you up from your hotel (or nearby) we will head to the picturesque village of Oia. Famous for having the best view of the sunset, Oia is a traditional village perched on a cliff. You will have the chance to stroll down its narrow stone-paved paths and enjoy some coffee somewhere overlooking the vast blue of the Aegean Sea.

Leavin Oia behind us, we will move on to the Monastery of Profitis Ilias, where you will get a glimpse of the spiritual side of the island. the monastery was built by two monks in 1711 and features an exterior stone wall that makes it resemble a fortress. During that era, it was an important cultural and educational center as it also functioned as a school for several decades.

Part of tour will take us to one of the smaller, more traditional villages of the island. Some of the more popular choices include Pyrgos and Megalochori, two quintessentially Santorinian villages, where time seems to stand still. Get a taste of what its like to be a local by walking through whitewashed houses, taverns and shops, always gazing down at the blue sea.

4
Stop 4

Due to the island's proximity to the caldera, Santorini features unique beaches, the most prominent of which are the Black beach and the Red Beach. Made out of two successive beaches, the Black beach lies on the southeast coast of the island and is laid with black volcanic sand. It's red counterpart, is located near the village of Akrotiri, on the southernmost part of the island, at the end of a steep downhill path. Enclosed by huge red rocks and laid with volcanic pebbles, it is perhaps the most popular sight on the island.

5
Stop 5

This is a wait of ferrous rock approx 125 meters high which has eroded and left red sand. The Red Beach is arguably one of the most famous and beautiful beaches of Santorini. It is located only some steps away from the ancient site of Akrotiri.
