The Municipal Theater of Rio de Janeiro is one of the most important Brazilian theaters. It is located in Cinelândia, in the city center of Rio de Janeiro.

Opened in 1909, the Municipal Theater is one of the main venues in Brazil and Latin America. In the last renovation, gems were found as a large original panel by the Italian Eliseu Visconti were rescued. Important areas of the Theater have been restored, with an emphasis on the imposing 350kg eagle that adorns the top of the building, which received 8 thousand gold leaves 23 carats of gilding.

Convento de Santo Antônio is a Catholic monastery belonging to the Franciscan Province of the Immaculate Conception of Brazil located on the top of Morro de Santo Antônio and facing Largo da Carioca, in the city center of Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil. The old Rua Direita was the oldest street in Rio de Janeiro and was the most important in the city in the 19th century. Originally, it connected Largo da Misericórdia to Morro de São Bento.
In 1875, it was renamed March 1 in honor of the allied victory at the Battle of Aquidabã, which ended the Paraguayan War. Coincidentally, this is also the date of the founding of the city of Rio de Janeiro.
