After recognizing the viceregal origins of the founding of the city, we will enter the patio of the Central Building of the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí to learn about the dynamics of the religious orders in the life of Potosí society in those times of New Spain , and how the venue has evolved over time; always with an educational vocation.

This building was used to collect the contributions of the famous "Quinto Real", in addition to protecting the Gold and Silver productions of the Potosí miners. This facility is currently a cultural center administered by the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí.

We will discover the surroundings of the Old Franciscan Convent. We will visit the Guerrero Garden, the temple of San Francisco de Asís, the Santo Entierro alley and the Plaza de Aránzazu while we describe the most notable iconography and the uses that the citizens of San Luis Potosí currently have.

We will walk from the Guerrero Garden, passing through the Former Agustino Convent and until arriving at the Plaza del Carmen where we will see the exterior of two buildings: The National Mask Museum and the Peace Theater. We will visit the interior of the Temple of San Elías and interpret the iconography of its façade, altarpiece, the altar of the seven princes and the dressing room of the Virgin of Carmen.

We will walk from Plaza del Carmen to reach the Jardín Hidalgo or Plaza de Armas. We will see the exterior of the Government Palace, the Old City Hall and the State Congress. We will interpret the façade iconography of the Metropolitan Cathedral of San Luis Potosí and the most interesting facts about its history. We will conclude our tour passing by the garden kiosk to return to Plaza Fundadores, our meeting point.
