You are going to visit one of the places most visited in Asturias, two charming fishing villages knowing their traditions and way of life from the sea and land.
The first village we will visit is Luarca, knowing as “ the white village of the green coast”, it is a peaceful fishing village since the Middle Ages and preserves many remains of this glorious past. We will enter a journey into the past, the fishing life, and the elegance of the bourgeois style.
Our next stop is Cudillero, one of the most visited places in Asturias, a picturesque fishing village declared a historic-artistic complex in which the houses hang from the mountain wearing bright colors creating a wonderful view. Cudillero is known for its gastronomy mixing tradition and creativity, providing a very pleasant aroma in every street of the town. You will be impressed with the quality and variety of fishing products and If the tides allow us we can see the sailors arrive and attend the fishing auction in the port.

We will visit the “lighthouse” and “the Atalaya” of Luarca. Great views of the beach and the open sea.
We will watch the “old indian houses” (XIX). All are varied in their architecture and they have in common that the owners made their fortunes out of the country
We will get to the “Luarca cementery”. Great views of the harbor and the town.
The most important of the seven bridges you can find at Luarca.
We will get to the most bourgeois part of town, we will visit palacio ”Marqués Ferrera palace”(XIII) and ”Alfonso X el Sabio square.
One hour driving from port. More attractions in Luarca, as “the chapel of La Blanca”, the “neighborhood Cambaral”(a hill full of white houses) knowing”the table of Mareantes” and the impressive views to the port and valley.
We will get at its important port that even today is a benchmark in fishing(7’).

We will have a break to taste a cider , the typical asturian drink in one of its nice terrace.
Travelers could choose to have a gastronomic experience in a typical “llagar” (as asturians call to a cider&tradicional food restaurant) in Cudillero. They will have different menus’ OPTIONS (a short menu for 12€ or a longer one for 20€).
Depending on the tides they will have the option to assist a fishing auction in the port and buy the fish that they prefer. After the auction we will go to a nearby restaurant where the chef will cook the fish they bought. Great food quality and original experience.
