On this tour expect a lot of fun from start to finish. We will visit the Kakum Rain Forest and Canopy Walk which is one of the very few existing canopy walkways in the world - here at Kakum we give you the opportunity to try out and have a taste of the wonderful cocoa fruit. You will also have coconut juice to refreshing with after the canopy walk. Our visit to the Cape Coast Castle and Elmina Castle is more educative and informative as we don't only visit the castles but see communities properly exposing you to more of their culture and heritage of the local people. You will have a professional driver and a guide who is very knowledgeable and fun to be with. Starting Point. This is the point where our tour begins from. From Accra to our first stop would take 3hrs with one quick stop along the way in case we may need it. Kakum National Park is one of the only few canopy walkway in existence in the world. It is located in the coastal environs of the Central Region of Ghana which covers an area of 375 square kilometers (145 sq mi). At Kakum we will visit the rain forest and walk on the canopy walk. This will be a wonderful experience.
Cape Coast Castle is one of about forty slave castles built on the Gold Coast of West Africa to be precise Ghana by European traders. It was originally a Portuguese trading post, established in 1555. It was later used in the trans-Atlantic slave trade. In our visit here, we will see the dungeons and learn the history of the pre-colonial days and the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade.
Elmina Castle is the largest oldest European building in existence below the sub-Saharan. It was used mainly during the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade. In our visit here we will take a tour of the dungeons and discover more of the culture and the history of the people of Elmina.
