The tour begins at port where you hop on an air-conditioned motor coach for a one-hour drive along scenic roads, passing quaint villages on your way to Cahuita. This is a beautiful National Park that combines a great white sand beach with exuberant rain forest. During the nature walk, our naturalist tour guide will be pointing for the different wildlife species present in the park such as monkeys, sloths, iguanas, toucans and other ones. After the nature walk, a snack stop is included in Cahuita Town, where you can enjoy a drink or taste the local caribbean flavours. Returning to the pier, a stop by a banana plantation is included for learn more about this important crop for the Costa Rican economy. Besides banana, you will learn about chocolate and other important products of this rich region.
A souvenir store is also included as part of the tour before to the return to the ship.

A beautiful National Park located at about 1 hour from the pier, with abundant wildlife, vegetation and Caribbean Culture. Cahuita National Park is a terrestrial and marine national park in the Caribbean La Amistad Conservation Area of Costa Rica located on the southern Caribbean coast in Limón, connected to the town of Cahuita. Cahuita is unique in Costa Rica for its close relationship with the community, an example of shared management between the community and government for a sustainable development at community level. Participation of park guards and community life stands out through a shared governance management.
In this ecosystem, nestled in the Caribbean but with forest environment, you will find species such as raccoons, sloths, iguanas and basilisks. You will also notice snakes like tinsel and tamagá, and birds like the black hawk. Inside the park it is possible to perform recreational sports and hiking the trails, or simply enjoy the beaches swimming or sunbathing.
Puerto Limón, commonly known as Limón, is the capital city and main hub of Limón province, as well as of the canton of Limón in Costa Rica. It is the seventh largest city in Costa Rica, with a population of over 55,000, and is home of the Afro-Costa Rican community. The caribbean province is a natural paradise, formed by a combination of dense jungles, imposing mountains, and paradisiac beaches. Limon has the highest percentage of protected land in Costa Rica, as well as a wide variety of flora and fauna. Its vegetation is exuberant as are the cultures throughout the province.

Tour Meeting Time: 8:00 AM or 30 Minutes After Ship Arrival. We operate all our tours accordingly with ship arrival. We know sometimes the ships run late. For this reason, we have our pickup 30 minutes after the ship arrival with first departure at 8:00 AM.

Puntarenas: Please walk to the main exit of the pier. On the way to the main public street. Once there you will see our guides holding a sign with your name.

For Puerto Caldera: The port authority offers a free shuttle bus service to the main entrance of the pier. Take it and meet our staff at the entrance of the terminal. Do not take the shuttle that goes to Puntarenas City. Just go the main gate.
We do not pick up INSIDE the pier. Do not stop at the local vendors inside the pier. Go straight to main gate of the terminal. Main Public Street.
