After you have been collected from your pick-up location (your hotel or the cruise-ship port), you will walk with our guide in the labyrinth of the old town among the whitewashed buildings.
If you are lucky, find Petros the pelican, the mascot of Mykonos. You will have the time required for taking photographs.
Further up next to this wonderful area on the hill, you will see the Windmills of Mykonos facing the North. The strong wind Meltemi has helped the locals of the island to mill wheat . On many Cycladic islands, windmills are very common and they are made for the same purpose.
Every path you take on the island of Mykonos will lead you to the harbor of Alefkadra, where you will have the opportunity to travel far back to the history of the island.
Alefkandra is where Little Venice lies. In Little Venice you can admire the endless blue of the Aegean Sea.
.Αgios Ioannis is a small tourist village in the southwest of the island, 2.5 km from Ornos. It is built in amphitheater and located across from Delos, combining natural beauty with excellent tourist accommodations.
As we continue our tour, we will be passing by some of the most distant beaches of Mykonos, named ”Agia Anna” and “Kalo Livadi”,arriving in the village of Ano Mera .
Passing through the picturesque square of the village, which is bordered with outdoor tavernas and coffee shops, we will offer you a a light snack accompanied with a glass of tsipouro ( distilled Greek Spirit )
This is a long sandy beach, which, although popular with locals and tourists, still offers plenty of space for yourself. It’s usually split in half, umbrellas and sunbeds on one side, just sand on the other. It offers crystal-clear water and a more reasonably-priced restaurant, when compared to the rest of Mykonos.
Arriving at the village of Ano Mera, you will visit the 16th-century cathedral monastery of Panagia Tourliani. It is named after the dome (tourlos) of the church and the blessed Icon of the Virgin Mary.
The lovely church of Panagia (Virgin Mary) Paraportiani is among the most photographed churches not only in Mykonos but in the whole world. It is located at the entrance of the Kastro neighborhood, right by the sea. Its name (Paraportiani) actually means standing next to the entrance door, meaning that the church was next to the Castle door.
Agios Ioannis settlement is named after the small church of Saint John that is built on the hill overlooking the beach. It is one of the most privileged places of Mykonos Island because of the stunning view to the sacred island of Delos and some of the best hotels in Mykonos.
