About this experience

Product includes the permanent accompaniment of a local, certified guide, through Passadiços do Paiva (8.7 km) and Bridge 516 Arouca, the latter being crossed twice. In addition to a picnic included, participants can choose to add lunch at the end of the walk. Before returning to Porto, it also includes a tasting of conventual sweets in the historic center of Arouca. The transport is carried out in van type, brand Mercedes, modern and very comfortable.

Detailed itinerary

Tour interpreted by local guide, certified, along the famous Passadiços do Paiva and Suspensa Bridge 516 Arouca. On the way, you will be able to interpret the main points of geological interest, such as the Garganta do Paiva, the Cascata das Aguieiras, the Vau River Beach, the Gola do Salto or the Falha da Espiunca, without forgetting the aspects of biodiversity. In the latter case, with luck, you can even see lontras.
Count on a picnic that will help you stay energized and hydrated during your walk, adapted to the physical condition of the participants.
You can also choose the option of "lunch included", and thus enjoy an experience of true Portuguese gastronomy at the end of the pedestrian route.

Adventure across one of the world’s largest suspended bridges, which is 516 meters long and 175 meters high from the river.
On site, you can appreciate two of the most iconic geosciences of the Paiva Valley: the Aguieiras waterfall and the Paiva throat.
We will perform two crossings (go-and-go), in exclusive time, which will make you feel a privileged.

Before returning to Porto, we will also present you with a taste of conventual sweets, accompanied by a drink of your choice, in Arouca, in the center of the Arouca Geopark, next to the monastery of Arouca.
