About this experience
Enjoy this special trip to the foothills of the Alps like a native of Munich. The tour starts early in the morning with pickup from your Munich city hotel or private accommodation. Cool drinks and snacks will be waiting for you in the comfortable vehicle.
During the drive, we will already have some time to chat and I will tell you interesting facts about today's destinations.
After getting the Hot-Air Balloon ready, we will explore an unforgettable Balloon ride over Lake Tegernsee with an of a kind Alpine view. Up in the air you will see the major sights of the region from the birds eye. An breathtaking experience you will never forget!
After our ride of about 90 minutes, we will celebrate the ride with a glass of Champagne, Beer, and soft drinks.

Stop 1
Your half-day adventure begins right at your doorstep in Munich. After a early morning morning pick-up from your accommodation, step into a comfortable, air-conditioned private vehicle — stocked with cool drinks and light snacks to make the ride as pleasant as the views ahead.
As we leave the city behind, the Bavarian countryside unfolds in all its charm. Our first highlight comes at Mount Irschenberg — a legendary panorama point along the Autobahn, where the Alps first appear on the horizon in all their glory. Built in the mid-1930s as part of the so-called “panoramic motorway,” this route was once used to showcase the beauty of the German landscape. Today, it simply offers us one of the most breathtaking outlooks in southern Germany.
After soaking in the view, we continue our journey through rolling hills and traditional Bavarian villages until we reach our destination: Lake Tegernsee, one of Bavaria’s most beloved alpine lakes.

After your pickup, I will bring you directly to the starting point of your Hot-Air Balloon. After our arrival at the starting point, we (Men only) will give the pilot of the Balloon a little hand setting up the Balloon - that's a huge tradition in Bavarian! No worries - just in regards to smaller tasks. After the setup of the Balloon, you will experience an about 90-minute Balloon ride over Lake Tegernsee with a wonderful Alpine view. Up in the air you will see the major sights of the region from the birds eye. Of course, I will provide you some information about the local sights and region. The whole Balloon experience takes about 4 hours.

There, we’ll dive into the delicious world of Bavarian cuisine — and you can be sure we won’t leave hungry! A hearty meal with a starter, main course, and an ice-cold beer is, of course, included in the tour price.

After a wonderful day at Lake Tegernsee, relax in my comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle as we return to Munich. Enjoy the scenic countryside one last time and reflect on the day’s highlights.
