10:00 - Route 3 towards the crossing of the Andes Mountains
As we gradually gain altitude to reach the Garibaldi Pass, we will enjoy the view of the Andes Mountains.
10:30 - Garibaldi Pass: Panoramic view of Escondido Lake
At our stop at the crossing of the Andes through the Garibaldi Pass, we have our first view of Lago Escondido, which we will cover in its entirety from South to North.
Along the shoreline of Lake Escondido we found a new environment to explore before heading into the forest on our way to Lake Fagnano.
12:00 - Off-road (through the forest)
We won't say much about this part where we cross the forest towards the shore of Lake Fagnano... The best thing is to experience it first hand!
We will continue off-road for a large stretch of the shoreline of this huge lake... and where the shoreline is lacking... we will have to cross the lake!
Throughout several stops, we will be able to make contact with little-known places and with wonderful views of Lake Fagnano, formerly known as Lake Cami (also Kami or Kahmi).
The stops along the almost 100 kilometers long Lake Fagnano are very pleasant. This is a breathtaking experience of an ancient and magical landscape.
13:00 - Arrival at our refuge
Just 80 kilometers from Ushuaia, the primitive forest welcomes us with its serenity. Just in time for lunch.
Now it's time to relax in a quiet place in the woods near the lake. In our cozy refuge we will have: Choripán (grilled chorizo sandwich), grilled steaks with assorted salads, dessert and drinks. Vegetarians and celiacs also enjoy an excellent lunch available by reservation.
14:45 - We start our return
After a pleasant and relaxed after-dinner meal in a fantastic and quiet place, we will find the vehicles a few steps away, next to the lake.
The way back to the city offers us a new opportunity to discover the Andes mountain range and the serene valleys near Ushuaia.
