take a short walk to the Adalbert Stifter Institute. The museum was established in 1993 in the author’s former Linz apartment. All of the rooms house Stifler's original furniture, including his marriage bed and death sofa. There are also paintings by him and other artists, including Shifter's “Moon Landscape” and "Landscape Study with Group of Houses and Stream." detailed overview of Stifter’s life and his literary and pictorial work, but also familiarize yourself with selected examples of other Upper Austrian writers. There are 5 individual rooms in the museum, each commemorating a different time period and theme in literature.
