Detailed itinerary

1
Stop 1

Meet your guide In front of the Heinrich-Heine monument, Heinrich-Heine-Denkmal, Rathausmarkt, 20095 Hamburg, Germany

2
Stop 2

See the Kesselhaus Hamburg. The tour will go in the direction of the Speicherstadt museum and finish at one of the newest city landmarks, the Elbphilharmonie.

You will also enter the Elbphilharmonie viewing platform. You will be amazed by the spectacular views of the whole harbour offered by this is the tallest structure in the city. From the outside, the landmark concert venue resembles a hoisted sail, iceberg or a water wave standing on top of the original 1966 brick façade. It’s a grand manifestation of how Speicherstadt successfully combines old traditions with modernity.

3
Stop 3

Visit the Speicherstadtmuseum inside. Located in the authentic setting of a warehouse from 1888, the museum illustrates how the local warehouse keepers used to store, sample and refine high-quality imported goods. This is the best place to learn about Hamburg's trade history, with tools and goods such as coffee, cocoa and rubber on display. Many of the exponents can be touched and tried, so children will enjoy this place as well.

4
Stop 4

Your Local Guide will meet you in front of the magnificent Town Hall and then take you through the Old Town’s fairly modern streets towards the Speicherstadt district.

5

You will cross the Kornhausbrücke bridge and follow the picturesque Bei St Annen street over the waterway. You will be astonished by the exciting architecture of this place. The complex of large warehouse blocks and ancillary buildings standing over a network of short canals is one of the most photographed spots in Hamburg.

6
Stop 6

You will pass by one of the top tourist attractions in the whole of Germany, the Miniatur Wunderland museum.
