While crossing the Hohe Brücke, you’ll enjoy an amazing view on the Haus der Seefahrt and the houses of Deichstraße street reflecting in the water.
The route will follow along the North Elbe river with the most important landmarks of the Port of Hamburg from the Landungsbrücken promenade to the legendary U-434 submarine. Enjoy a breeze of fresh air and spectacular views of the river side.
You will then turn towards the energetic Reeperbahn street, known for its spicy nightlife with everything from popular gay clubs to tempting sex shops.
You will stop by the gorgeous St Michaels Church and then follow through the Neustadt district towards the city center.
Turn to the spectacular Neuer Wall street of luxurious shops and beautiful buildings.
Admire the old architecture of the waterfront arcade Alsterarkaden with amazing views of the Old Town.
You will reach the Rathausmarkt public square and cycle around the stunning building of the Town Hall.
Then you will cross the historical Trostbrücke bridge and cycle to the St Nicholas Memorial.
Instead of cycling straight towards the harbour, you will stop by the iconic Chilehouse. This UNESCO-listed architectural masterpiece in the spirit of the 1920s expressionism will amaze you with its enormous scale, accentuated vertical elements, curved facade and impressive inner courtyards.
Then you will explore another UNESCO-listed treasure, the historic yet modern Speicherstadt. The guide will lead you through a complex network of canals, bridges and historic warehouses.
This route includes cycling by the Chilehouse and through the "City of Warehouses” - Speicherstadt, extended by the HafenCity.
You will also see one of the newest additions to the Hamburg’s skyline - the colossal Elbphilharmonie. Then you will follow the basic cycling route through the Hohe Brücke towards the port.
