Starting from La Spezia, along the coast not to miss the highlights of the rugged landscape, hidden coves and historical artifacts visible only by sea and under the guidance of our expert crew.
Along the way, there will be time to stop and swim in the crystal clear sea or simply relax on the boat, while the setting sun dances on the water.
Waiting for the sunset, an aperitif will be served consisting of local products such as rice cake, pesto, focaccia, and much more accompanied by excellent local wine. For those who do not like wine, spritz, beer, soft drink. We will explore the magical bay of Portovenere, including the Grotta di Byron, before having a toast in front of the splendid setting of Portovenere.
We will then return to La Spezia in the beautiful twilight.
Often overlooked but probably the most beautiful of the coastal towns in the area, Portovenere is also the oldest, with historical wonders such as the Church of San Pietro that looks almost camouflaged on the sheer rock face at the westernmost point of the country, and the dominant Castle Doria overlooking the town.
UNESCO World Heritage Site together with the Cinque Terre
As we continue to sail along the coast, the first of the Cinque Terre villages that we will meet is Riomaggiore. With brightly colored houses built vertically on the surrounding hills, Riomaggiore is the second largest of the five towns and is widely known for excellent diving spots off its coast in the marine protected area that stretches all along the Cinque Terre. Here you will also see where the famous Via del Amore pedestrian path begins, leading to nearby Manarola.
A short climb along the coast, we find Manarola, which is located at the other end of the Via dell'Amore and is part of the municipality of Riomaggiore. Known for its wine production, Manarola produces the only dessert wine called Sciacchetrà found only in this area.
We are waiting for you near our black coffin. The crew will have the Blue Boat uniform
