About this experience

The benedictine Monasatery is nearly 1000 years old, you will find it perched half way up the mountain and sheltered by its peaks. The community of monks also runs a boy´s school devoted to the study of music., walk in the basilica and the first thing you will see is La Moreneta (The Virgin of Montserrat) the patron saint of Catalonia

Stop 1

An excursion to visit the most visited tourist attraction in the area. We will make our way to the foot of the mountain by coach and then we take the track railway to a height of 700 meters where we have time to explore the Mountain of Montserrat.
This is where you will find the patroness of Catalonia “La Moreneta”& a short film about Montserrat and its history as well as tasting some of the Montserrat Liquers and if you are lucky you can listen to one of the oldest and most esteemed childrens choirs in Europe.
A perfect day out to enjoy the fantastic views of the area.
Note – The childrens choir do not sing from the last week in June and whole month of July.
