Gorilla Trekking in Rwanda – A Once-in-a-Lifetime Adventure!
Are you ready for an unforgettable wildlife encounter? Rwanda offers one of the world’s most extraordinary experiences—gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park! Nestled in the Virunga Mountains, this adventure takes you deep into the heart of the jungle to meet the rare and endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat.
Your Trekking Adventure
Your journey begins early in the morning at Kinigi Park Headquarters, where you'll receive a briefing from park rangers. Groups of up to eight visitors are assigned to a specific gorilla family, and the trek can last between 1 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ location.
Once you find them, you’ll have one magical hour to observe their social interactions, watch playful juveniles, and witness the dominance of the silverback. Be sure to bring your camera (without flash) to capture these once-in-a-lifetime moments!
