Detailed itinerary

1

Mount Tiscali is set in the wonderful natural setting of the Lanaitho Valley, a unique opportunity to venture out to discover the mystery guarded in this place for more than 3000 years. Walking in the woods of the valley, the trek follows the steep limestone cliffs of Mount Tiscali on the paths traced by charcoal burners in the nineteenth century.
Walking along the karst sinkhole originated 900,000 years ago for the collapse of the rocky vault of the ancient cave, you finally arrive at the mysterious Village of Tiscali built by the Nuragic civilization (between 1800 and 238 BC.C.).
Do not miss the passage through the narrow rock fissure called "Sa Curtigia", the suggestive fissure in the rock from which you then arrive at the mythical village of Tiscali.
From a botanical point of view, the special microclimate of the sinkhole has allowed the growth of rare plant species such as the Terebinti, the Maple trilobe and the ash tree. Among the fauna the marten, the eagle and the mouflon.
