About this experience
Experience the best of East Java, Indonesia. Starting from Bali, visit the region’s iconic landmarks, witness the golden sunrise over Mount Bromo, and marvel at the natural blue flame of Mount Ijen.
Embark from Bali and begin your journey with the first highlight: Mount Ijen, famous for its mesmerizing Blue Flame. The hike to Ijen takes about 1.5 hours and is considered medium-level—relatively easy, but tiring because it begins at midnight, when your body naturally wants to rest.
Next, continue to the Mount Bromo area and spend the night in the cool mountain climate surrounded by peaceful countryside views. Mount Bromo is lively throughout the day, and the tour starts early at 2:00 AM, riding a 4WD jeep up the hills for a spectacular sunrise before taking a short trek to the Bromo crater (caldera).
At the end of the tour, you may choose to finish in Surabaya (about 3 hours from Bromo) or return to Bali (around 10 hours from Bromo).
