This tour is for anyone with a keen interest in walking through the by lanes of Mysuru, going off the beaten path and learning about the city’s truly local way of life. A contrast of the old and the new all amalgamated into a 3 hr tour through the markets of the city combined with some mouth watering local delicacies to feast on. Ideal if you are someone who wants to immerse yourself in understanding the “local” way of life. Physically this is NOT an INTENSIVE walk, making it doable for anyone who wishes explore Mysuru through its many markets. Just be warned of a lot of people and bustling streets. What we do promise is a bounty of diverse experiences and fun filled evening experiencing Mysuru with a local.
Meet at the Palace gate and talk about the history and stories of the Erstwhile Kingdom of Mysore
We will be walking through the Market hearing the story, history and purpose of the market and head to different parts of the Market and have some local delicacy.
Here we will witness a 8 decade old soda shop which has been run from the family and get to see the one of the first soda and ice cream making machine bought to mysore and have a refreshment.
We will witness some of the old artisian practices of Mysore the rose wood inlay and get some hands on experience on wood carving.
We wil be walking back towards the palace and end the tour
