Stop 1

Simply the Egyptian Museum, is the world's biggest repository of Egyptian artefacts. It is located in Cairo, Egypt. Some 120,000 objects are stored there, with a small sampling on exhibit. It is the largest museum in Africa and is housed in a building that dates back to 1901. The gold burial mask of Pharaoh Tutankhamun is one of the most recognisable symbols of ancient Egypt and is widely regarded as one of the world's most famous works of art.

Giza Necropolis - In Egypt, the Great Pyramid, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure, as well as their accompanying pyramid complexes, and the Great Sphinx may all be found at the Giza pyramid complex (also called the Giza necropolis). These were constructed in Egypt during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom, around the years 2600 and 2500 BC.
