Detailed itinerary

1

We begin with a photo stop in Firostefani to admire the famous Blue Dome Church, which is a true island's emblem.

2

We visit the famous town of Oia, nestled in the hillsides. Oia is unique in every way with iconic blue domed churches, scenic pathways, stunning views of the caldera and the most spectacular sunset.

3

The highest spot of the island is the mountain of Prophet Ilias -2.000 feet (600 meters) above sea level. Feel free and grab the opportunity to visit the homonymous monastery and admire the panoramic view of the island, the caldera and the neighboring islands.

4

The mediaval village of Pyrgos ("tower" in greek language) is famous for its well preserved Venetian Castle, the old christian orthodox churces and the traditional houses.

5

We continue with the village of Megalochori, which has been characterized as one of the most picturesque and traditional villages of the island. Historical mansions, restored houses and pirate hideaways are the top preserved features of this settlement.

6
Stop 6

Akrotiri Archaeological Site is one of the most significant prehistoric settlements of the Aegean. Akrotiri had once been a major city before it was covered in ash by volcanic eruptions. Luckily, the ash has preserved structures and their contents, allowing us to admire this wonder of antiquity.

7
Stop 7

Afterwards, our driver - guide will be pleased to take you to the unique Red Beach just to get a glimpse of the red volcanic rocks. These rocks were created by geological formation processes that are still active.

8
Stop 8

Take the chance to swim at the dazzling crystal clear waters of the famous Black Beach (also known as Perivolos or Perissa). This seaside area actually forms the tip of the long black sand beach of Perivolos and is, without a doubt, the busiest and most remarkable beach of Santorini. Enjoy the spectacular views of the Aegean Sea and the nearby islands, as well as an optional lunch at a seaside restaurant.

9

It's time to taste and enjoy the famous local wine varieties of Santorini by visiting the biggest winery of the island with the best view.
