Continuing with your guided tour, we will visit the city of Veria, stroll around its narrow preserved quorters, see the altar of Apostle Paul, visit the Orta Mosque and check the oldest Synagoge in the Balkans. The Jewish Synagogue in Veroia, Greece, is a beautifully preserved landmark in the historic Jewish Quarter. Built in the 19th century, it stands as a testament to the once-thriving Sephardic Jewish community. The synagogue features traditional architecture, including a wooden ark and a women’s balcony. Though no longer in regular use, it remains a significant cultural and historical site. Visit inside the Synagogue is upon request.
