About this experience

Combine a 1hr walking tour of Lugano to learn about its culture and history, with an extraordinary cruise and cooking class experience at a charming restaurant with stunning views over the lake.

With the guidance of a local chef, you’ll learn how to prepare a delicious typical Risotto Ticinese that will be served with with meat, vegetables, a dessert, 4 glasses of Merlot wine, water and coffee.

Break the ice and sit together around a large table and enjoy a typical Swiss/Italian aperitivo before starting your class. Our chef will share our secret Risotto recipe, guiding you through every step and teaching you new cooking techniques plus tons of tricks.

Inhibitions fall away when engaged in chopping and mixing all the ingredients – a great way to get conversation flowing.

Our cooking classes are designed to be social events that do not require any previous experience.

Meet your guide outside the Church of Santa Maria degli Angioli, built at the end of the XV century. The ancient church houses one of the great masterpieces of the early Renaissance: the fresco of Leonardo's disciple, Bernardino Luini, who began his artistic career at the the Chiaravalle Abbey, in Lombardy.

Admire Lugano’s main square where locals love to meet. An ideal location to relax and enjoy the many elegant cafes and restaurants. Continue your walking tour strolling along Via Nassa (one of the world's most exclusive luxury streets of Lugano with its 270 metres of covered arcades, boutiques and jewelry stores) and Via Pessina (a favorite place where foodies can shop at traditional markets and enjoy authentic gastronomic specialties at historic cafes and restaurants).

Follow your guide stepping on one of the many public boats and disembark at our charming restaurant in San Rocco to start your 2h cooking class. At the end of the experience your local guide will take you back to Lugano.
